I have been a tutor for over 25 years, working in both group and individual settings with students from elementary to the college level.. I enjoy the opportunity smaller learning environments provides a student with the ability to ask questions they may not get to ask in a more traditional classroom. My goal is to be able to witness the moment a student has clarity of a concept they have been struggling and help them master a true understanding of a subject. Receiving feedback from students on how their grades have improved makes me realize I am on a good track with my approach to learning.

Hobbies
I love to read. Although novels have always been my first choice, I have found myself gravitating towards nonfiction and historical pieces. As a result of my work experiences and meeting people who have lived through important eras in history, I have discovered an interest in expanding my knowledge of history beyond what I was taught in school. I have also developed an interest in learning about various cultures. In tutoring students for which English may not be their first language, I love how once I'm done tutoring them, I get 'tutored' on their culture.
