Education

I have a B.S. in Psychology from Virginia Tech. Much of my coursework covered learning styles and methods. I also minored in Spanish and spent a summer abroad studying and living with a Spanish family and school. I graduated from VT in 2015 with a 3.8 GPA and have since then been working with kids in educational settings. I am also currently taking online courses with Longwood University.

Experience

I have 2.5 years of experience tutoring children ages 5-17. I love tutoring kids in order to help them reach a goal or increase their confidence; It's fun for me to spend time with kids in general and especially when I am able to help them gain a better understanding of something that's hard for them to grasp. I know it can be hard for children to have lessons in addition to normal school hours and that's why it's important and fun for me to create engaging lessons with a relaxed atmosphere.

Hobbies

I'm very interested in language, culture, and learning. I love being in new places and getting to know people that have different backgrounds. I'm a very social person and find it very easy to have interesting conversation. I also like reading, movies, and food! I've lived outside of the US for the last 2.5 years so my current favorite food is anything my mom cooks! I'm a very friendly, dependable, and organized teacher and person.
