I graduated from Stanford University with my bachelor's in physics. Throughout high school and college, I tutored my friends and peers in chemistry, math, standardized tests, and physics material. As a tutor, I strive to offer an enthusiastic and accessible environment. I work hard to be available for questions and support for my students while building their confidence in their math skills. Math and science are deeply relevant to every aspect of our lives, something I emphasize in my sessions. I use a mix of visual and tactile activities to encourage active learning. Engaging students is invaluable to ensuring that they fully grasp the material and truly know it. I think these can be fun topics if we use the right tools. I'm capable of explaining the material in a variety of ways, factoring in the student's learning personality. Whether my student needs to review the periodic table or prepare for the SAT/ACT subject test, I can take the time and work through it with them. Optimal learning takes enthusiasm for the subject, patience, and dedication. I am happy to work through each concept at the student's natural learning rate. I am a chocolate addict who enjoys playing Minecraft and working out.
