Experience
I tend the University of Arizona to earn my master's degree in Latin American studies. Prior to that, I went to the University of Toledo for my degree in Spanish and sociology. My initial experience in teaching and tutoring began four years ago, helping high school students learn Spanish. I really enjoyed this experience, and I liked connecting with my students. I also tutored Spanish for two years at the University of Arizona, and tutored on campus as well. When I work with a student on Spanish, I prioritize strengthening both grammatical and conversational skills. I use a lot of resources to help students think about Spanish in different ways, including writing, songs, films, and others. I think Spanish is a really fun language to learn, and look forward to helping students have fun and experience success. When I have free time, I enjoy hiking, biking, photography, cooking, baking, dancing, singing, reading, and spending time with friends and family.
