I have had a very strong passion for learning for as far back as I can remember. Throughout my teenage and young adult years, that passion has only grown. I became interested in the subject of science when I was a young child, and excelled in basic math before I even began traditional schooling. In junior high and elementary school, I grasped information quickly and did not really feel challenged. It was not until I reached high school that I started to become challenged in my advanced physics and calculus classes. Upon high school graduation, I was in the top 4% of my graduating class. Following high school, I attended Texas A&M University where I began my undergraduate studies. It was during my time at Texas A&M that I began tutoring my peers and other students in physics and genetics. Instead of helping students memorize the material they were being taught, I wanted to help them completely understand and comprehend the material. Following my time at Texas A&M, I worked at the University of Texas in the Medical Branch, where I performed research and learned several lab procedures. Currently, I am in the process of deciding where I would like to attend school in order to pursue my lifelong dream of becoming a medical school student.
