My name is Greg, and I am currently a candidate for an MD degree at Georgetown. I received my MS degree from the University of Edinburgh in the UK in 2013 where I studied the biomedical sciences. I received my BS in biochemistry from Creighton University in Omaha, NE. I used to work as a research scientist at Washington State University, investigating dermatological conditions, specifically keratinocyte adhesion and cytoskeletal abnormalities. I'm "available anytime" because my schedule is so variable. Typically weekends are open. I charge $80 because I'm a busy medical student.
Experience
I used to work as a research scientist for the director of School of Molecular Biosciences at Washington State University, investigating dermatological conditions, specifically keratinocyte adhesion and cytoskeletal abnormalities. I tutored quite a bit in high school, and I've tutored in chemistry off and on during college. I'll normally get a lot of my friends asking me for help in science courses simply because the subject material comes fairly easily to me! Since I'm planning on going to medical school, I've taken a lot of science courses including General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Physics, General Biology. In addition to the required courses for taking the Medical College Admissions Test, I've taken other upper-level biology courses which reinforce the general/basic biology information. I have approximately 4-5 years of cumulative research experience in subjects such as organic chemistry, biochemistry, developmental biology, infectious disease, and clinical research. Just let me know the subject and particular topic you would like help with. I simply want to be a tutor because I'm confident in my abilities to help other students succeed. If there is something that I'm not sure of, then I'm not afraid to consult someone else. I charge $80 because I'm a busy medical student. In 2010 I had the opportunity to study abroad in South Africa where I learned about the country's history, the AIDS epidemic, and volunteered at clinics and other institutes in the Cape Town area.

I enjoy being outside. I like: watersport, biking, hiking, geocaching, swimming, and sailing. I [finally] took up competitive diving while I was in Scotland! I love theater (I was in every production offered in high school) I've been rock climbing since I was 10. I love music, and I started taking piano lessons a few years ago. My favorite books are 1984 by George Orwell and The Road by Cormac McCarthy.
