Experience
Test Scores: SATI Score: Math:730/Verbal:750/Writing:750 SATII Biology E/M Score: 780 both sections GRE Score:QR:163/VR:165/Writing:5.0 I started tutoring in high school and continued through college. Biology is my specialty, but I have also tutored math, other sciences, and been a mentor for science fair projects. I really enjoy working with students and helping them find ways to make the subject matter interesting to them so they retain and understand it. I like to ask questions, work through examples and use analogies that make the material more approachable and easier to understand. My goal for tutoring is to help the student grasp the information, but also to teach them how to approach new information, and gain an appreciation for other intellectual ventures. I have tutored general biology, calculus, and general chemistry at the Rinella Learning Center in Oxford, Ohio, and worked with the Miami Chemical society putting on science workshops for high school and elementary school children.

Hobbies
I love to dance, and am currently learning how to salsa! I am never without something to read, articles, books, etc. I love to be outdoors, and since moving to NYC have taken to running in central park. I did my first half marathon last year and hope to do another this year. I've started bouldering, with the hopes that I will get good enough to climb some real rocks!
