Education

I am currently entering my fifth year of Doctoral studies in the Critical Disability Studies program at York University. My areas of focus explore the discriminatory and oppressive laws and policies, and the structural and state violence experienced by psychiatric/consumers/survivors/ homeless and incarcerated folks through a disability, mad, anti-racist, intersectional, and feminist lens. My Master's degree was also completed in this program. For my undergraduate degree, I undertook a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in Sociology and Legal Studies; graduating with Honours.

Experience

How can I help you? I have 7 years experience as a private tutor and 7 years experience as a Teacher's Assistant I have been awarded an SSHRC scholarship for two academic years (2017-2019) and an additional scholarship while entering into my Ph.D. program (only one entering scholar per year is granted this scholarship in my discipline). I was also awarded an entrance scholarship for my Master's. I was also published three times, all before entering into my PhD My philosophy is that no one can achieve excellence without a little help ;)
