Hobbies
I enjoy working with students of varying backgrounds. Many students can gain significant benefits by learning specific time management and study skills. Some students just don't know how to approach their studies. Some don't know how to tell what is important and what is not in their text books. Once mastered, these skills will improve their ability to learn new material and develop self confidence. I enjoy watching students become confident, autonomous learners. I have two college age children of my own, and I know how stressful school can be for high schoolers and college students. By teaching students new strategies, I hope to empower them and reduce their stress. For fun, I like to travel and try new recipes out on my family, as well as walking, hiking and reading.
