Georgia Institute of Technology, fourth year studying Biochemistry and Computer Science with a 3.79 GPA. I love tutoring students and I can and have worked with a variety of subjects that I am well-versed in. I love math, science, history, foreign languages and much more! My goal for my career is to be a teacher on the university level and I welcome any opportunity to work with students and get to see their unique learning style.
Experience
I was ranked number the number one tutor nationally FrogTutoring, the company I left in order to freelance. I began tutoring my freshman year of high school and I worked with students ranging from sixth grade to twelfth grade in all course subjects. I most commonly tutored in math, science, and English. The students I worked with were both local and exchange students from various cultures, with differing levels of skill in the English language. I tutored several elementary and high school age Hispanic and German students, practicing conversational English and working on their full range of coursework. I then worked for FrogTutoring and my love for tutoring grew, I have excellent parent reviews that I can extend upon request. My mother is a seventh and eighth grade teacher and has largely influenced my tutoring approach, and inspired me to become a teacher myself. My tutoring approach varies in some aspects with each student, I observe the student and work to build a healthy tutoring relationship in order to make the student as comfortable as possible and to ensure optimal communication. I work to understand what motivates each student and what ultimately leads them to thrive.

Hobbies
I spent much of my childhood on the farm my mother grew up on in Western Nebraska; because of this I have grown to love the Midwest and riding horses. I kept busy in high school by swimming competitively and participating in various academic clubs and teams. I traveled to Nicaragua in April 2010, where I discovered a love for surfing and working with the natives to help improve their hospitals and hospices. I took Spanish for five years, and I find it to be one of the most beautiful languages.
