Hobbies
When I was in elementary and middle school I had a VERY difficult time learning material and needed extra help to complete my courses. My difficulties at an early age helped me to relate to children who struggle with their studies, who often need someone patient and encouraging to reassure them they can succeed! When a child struggles to learn something and they sense the disappointment of teachers or guardians, it can be easy for them to give up. I try very hard to make them believe they CAN learn the material and they can succeed. (They just have to learn the importance of hard work before their peers). During my undergraduate degree I worked extensively with children from toddlers to 8th grade; I love working with young people and plan to teach when I have complete my degree. My hobbies include rock climbing and running. I am also an avid knitter.
