Experience
I am a fun and friendly tutor with over 4 years of teaching experience. I have two undergraduate degrees from Virginia Tech in Mathematics and Physics. At the moment, I am working at the Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory before starting my PhD in Physics next year. I ardently believe that learning should be an enjoyable process leading to a better understanding of the world around us, rather than just a means of passing classes. My primary teaching expertise are High-school Math and Sciences and College Level Physics & Electrical Engineering. However, I have also taught various other subjects in the past: please take a look at the list of my subjects. I design a uniquely customized curriculum based on each of my student's needs. In doing so, I try to integrate my curriculum with the student's school/college schedule if necessary in order to keeping the student on top of things. If a topic calls for it, I arrange hands-on practical demonstration of theoretical concepts. I have three overarching goals for tutoring a student: (1.) Conceptual integration of theory and real-life application. (2.) Development of structured, logical approach to handling problems. (3.) Emphasis on internalization of concepts rather than mere memorization. In a typical tutoring session, I start by assessing the student's current state in the subject. Then we set up a mutually agreeable plan for the session based on the student's need. Then I follow the said plan leaving ample room for question-answer and discussion. At the end of the session, the student takes a short quiz in order to solidifying the concepts learned during that session. I wrap up the session by summarizing the concepts learned during that session. I offer a few perks to help my regular students as much as possible. As such, I am available for urgent meeting in person or over Skype and I am also available for questions over phone or Skype. I help my students work through difficult homework/problem-sets on an urgent basis close to deadlines. Lastly, I provide college counseling and internal college entry tips for top-tier colleges. I consider teaching as a very rewarding activity and hence I give it my all to bringing students up to where they need to be. I am very excited for the opportunity to work with you (student) or your (parent) child. So I hope that you consider me as your tutor.

Hobbies
When I am not working, I love hiking, playing tennis and general fitness. If I am nowhere to be found, I am most likely on Wikipedia. I am often working on some fun electronic/micro-controller project (and would not mind a hand from my students).
