Seasoned professional educator with over 25 years of experience as a: Classroom Teacher, Reading Recovery Teacher, Reading Specialist, and 1:1 Tutor. I believe that if a child is not learning well, then we have not yet found the way to teach him or her! Likewise, if your child does not enjoy reading, he or she hasn't found the right book. I enjoy the challenge of inspiring children to love reading, and I welcome the opportunity to work with your child! I have a Master's degree in Reading Education and have experience working with children with ADHD, learning disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder and Dyslexia. I find it very valuable to communicate with your child's teacher. When school, family and specialists work together, the child benefits the most.

I love to read mysteries! I also enjoy walking, hiking, camping and generally being outdoors. I have a passion for cooking, especially with healthy nutrition in mind for my three children! I enjoy reading cooking blogs and finding new and interesting recipes on the web. I have a great appreciation for the arts - music, painting, sculpture, live theater, and literature. In addition to spending time with my husband and children, I love to snuggle with my cat!
