Experience
For the past three years, I have been tutoring students from all ages and subject areas. My students ages range from 6 to 26 and cover subjects from reading to business finance for those students working toward their MBA. I love to tutor as I find it is extremely gratifying. I find that tutoring gets to the heart of learning, personalizing the meaning and instruction of the subject at hand. By building strong, personal relationships, I have found that more than 90 percent of my students increased their homework completion and accuracy. Also, all of my students have shown improvement by setting goals, using their weekly agenda, and improving their general study skills and organizational strategies. Another measure of my success is that all of my students have improved their academic achievement as measured by grade improvement. Last, standardized test scores have improved for all students who were required to take these tests.

When I am not tutoring, you can find my head buried in a book or find me in the kitchen cooking up some of my latest recipes to serve my family. If it is a warm, sunny day, you will find me at the beach playing in the sand with the children in my neighborhood or strolling the beach looking for cool and unusual shells. The most gratifying experience, however, is working with students 1:1. I believe the reason why I have been successful is because I build strong personal relationships with my students; I listen and communicate often with my parents and teachers; and that I make learning real, relevant and rigorous.
