Education

University of Pittsburgh Ph.D. Candidate in mathematics in the last year of my program. I do research in Partial differential equations and differential geometry. In my research I have had to merge fields using techniques from as disparate fields as game theory and machine learning. I am in the process of putting together my papers into a cohesive thesis and find myself with free time.

Experience

I have taught college level mathematics for 5 years. As part of my program I was required to offer students tutoring on top of my office hours. This was probably the most rewarding aspect of teaching. I have taught summer school to incoming high school freshmen classes of 5-9 students increasing common core test scores by an average of 30%.

Availability

Sunday at any time, Mon/Wed/Fri at any time, Tues/Thurs in the morning, Tues/Thurs in the afternoon

Can Meet

Hobbies

My main hobby is Rugby, I play semi competitively for the Washington Renegades club. My great passion outside of my academic career is history. I was born in Italy and spent my childhood partly there and partly in the USA, therefore I am fully bilingual. I greatly enjoy cooking, I learned from my Sicilian grandmother, but in the US I have been strongly influenced by flavors from many other cultures.
