Graduated with honors from Eastern Illinois University in 2009 with a degree in Elementary Education, with a focus on upper grades. I'm working on my Master's Degree in Educational Technology from Aurora University and will be finished in December 2016.
Experience
I am a leader in my school district where I teach STEM Lab (Math and Science), and I have years of tutoring experience. I can help you work through homework, prepare for tests and get better grades! I am very patient, easy to understand, and work well with students of all ages. I've helped students catch up to their class or get ahead a full year in math, helped students significantly improve their letter grades and helped students place out of classes without taking them. My most recent experience is tutoring for the ACT, K-8 Math, Chemistry, Pre-Calculus, Algebra 1 & 2 and Geometry. I was an AP Scholar with Distinction because I earned credit for AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP English Language, AP English Composition, AP Statistics, and AP Calculus. I have flexible hours and can be available for you last minute if you need extra help before an exam. I can travel about 20-25 minutes or meet you somewhere between us. I charge $40-45/hour. I am now taking new students for the end of this school year, the summer and the 2016-2017 school year. Hobbies
My husband and I have a two year old son and a miniature schnauzer at home. At work, I wrote the units I teach in my lab on motion, cryptography (secret codes), architecture, bridges, electronics and robotics. I am very hands-on, creative and artistic. I paint, sing, and knit. I used to be involved in dance and musical theater.
