Background: Born in Minnesota but raised in Israel, I speak both English and Hebrew as mother tongues. I have more than 10 years of experience tutoring both English and Hebrew, at different levels of difficulty and for different needs. After serving in the IDF's Counter Terror Unit (CTU) for 3 years, I started teaching Hebrew more intensively to new citizens from the US. Style: 1) I make an emphasis on teaching in a structured, friendly and goal driven manner. As an Israeli citizen, I also put a huge emphasis on correct pronunciation and accent acquisition. 2) I also believe in immersing yourself in the language, and will gladly recommend current popular cultural sources for learning Hebrew (books. songs, movies and TV shows). Why I do this: I love teaching Hebrew because I love Israeli culture, and because there is nothing more satisfying than when a student suddenly has the "Aha!" moment and things click.
